About Gene McKinney

Born and raised in New York City, Gene McKinney found himself relocating to North Carolina after serving over 4 years in the US Marine Corp and falling in love with NC. Gene has been buying and selling real estate in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area for over 20 years. Recently, Gene and his friends have been buying NC mountain properties as investment properties for either single home use or for exclusive mountain communities in the North Carolina and Virginia mountains. Gene believes in always giving back to the community through volunteering. He is a regular volunteer at Habitat for Humanity, the founder and coordinator of his Community Watch Program, an American Legion Vice Commander, and the former president of two large homeowner associations.  He is married with three grown children
